Magento 1.3 Theme Design Book released

Magento 1.3 Theme Design book by Richard Carter

Magento 1.3 Theme Design, by Richard Carter (err, that's me) is now published, and available on the publisher's website.

It's been a hard book to write within the schedule - Magento is a big topic to cover! - but the comments from the reviewers have been positive. Magento 1.3 Theme Design will hopefully be a useful guide to anyone scratching their heads at Magento - I know I spent a few days when I started tinkering with Magento wondering what the hell was going on!

It may not cover every aspect of Magento theming - not even I would read that! - but it should give the reader the knowledge and experience to know where to start.

Free chapter of Magento 1.3 Theme Design book

Packt have a free chapter available for sample - download 'Chapter 5 - Non-default Magento Themes' as a PDF

I'm currently in talks for a third book, details of which I'll post once I'm permitted.

Your book is exactly what I was looking for to jump start my project! I am attempting to follow along with the "Cheesy Cheese" case study, but my keyboard keeps getting in the way. ;O) Any chance that the case study code and images could be made available for download? It would definitely improve my enjoyment of the book. dave

Hi Richard. I'm digging your awesome Magento book right now. Wondering like the other posters if there's a chance of getting the source and images? I've looked around for a download but can't seem to find one. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Read
