The basics of @HelloMilo

@HelloMilo works as a [censored], lives in London, blogs at theyearzero.wordpress.com and is ‘desperately seeking Steven’. We met at Starbucks on Covent Garden – I happened to be in London for the day at a loose end!

1. What inspired your Twitter username?

Oh I wish there was a good answer to this but regrettably I don’t think there is. My own name is boring and I wanted an online pseudonym that was a bit more exotic, which is where I got this from. If I could choose my own name, Milo it would be. Not quite sure why.

2. Why did you follow me?

We found one another through the last series of Spooks, a year or so ago. It was random that we followed one another (we’d been using the same hashtag). Great minds and all that.

3. Last film you saw/book you read/gig you went to?

Hmm I saw Ghost Writer the most recently which I enjoyed, with Ewan McGregor. Do quite like him it must be said. I don’t know if/when I last went to a gig. I’m not really a gig kind of person. I read all the time – I currently have 10 books out of the library *high-brow faux aesthete alert*.

4. Your top 5 Twitter users?

I’ll assume I’m number one, so a top 6 will do :)

Ohhh, this is tricky. Hmm. I’m a very loyal person so I am likely to go for people I’ve followed for a very long time, including:

  • Lulazoid (bright young thing, Belgium)
  • RyanEdMiller (Canadian academic)
  • Globewriter (TV presenter in the Caribbean)
  • Svenym (fellow ENFP who has relocated from Bristol to Sydney)
  • Glowstars (working mum, Twilight die-hard and fellow Londoner)

5. Finally, sum yourself up in 140 characters.

I didn’t actually count the characters, but it looks about right to me…

Artful dodger, failed romantic, pastis quaffing melancholic, ENFP, latter-day gym bore, overeater who’s still looking for his 1st AA meet.
