So, we had a choice for the first night at NACONF 2011 (New Adventures in Web Design Conference): bowling with Erskine or Second Wednesday‘s event at Antenna in Nottingham.
I went to Antenna; a pretty good venue (albeit with a £5 charge to get in), with a personally agreeable range of live and recorded music (jazz, soul, funk), and a burlesque dancer (for which 2 acts the entire audience was silent!). On the negative side, Antenna had not got a great selection of beer (I like Old Speckled Hen as much as the next guy, but bottles of that all night get dull!).
Still, a pretty good effort for a pre-party for a conference still in its first year!
