I’ve been involved with something called the Young Entrepreneurs Trust in the last few months.
The idea behind it is Will Ryles’, who noticed that there is very little peer-to-peer support for younger entrepreneurs. One of the most obvious things that the Young Entrepreneurs Trust is doing at the moment is running events called Under 35s In Business on a monthly basis in Newcastle every second Monday: the next is on the 14th March – this coming Monday.
Under 35s In Business events
The last Under 35s In Business event was great fun – no formal sales pitches, just an opportunity to meet people interested in business of a reasonably similar age. There was a good range of people, from students in Newcastle University Entrepreneur Society to business owners from more established businesses such as Alex Jacobs from Northern Secrets Ltd, Dan Brady from Consilience Media and Michael Hall from Lateral Financial.
If you want more information on the organisation, check out the website (still very much a work in progress!) at youngentrepreneurstrust.org.uk, and the Twitter account, @YETrust.
